Wichita Animal Action League, or WAAL, is a state-licensed rescue and 501c3 nonprofit organization. They are a foster-home-based rescue founded in November 2013. WAAL’s mission is to prevent and mitigate crisis for animals, their owners, and our community by: Proactively working to address overpopulation; Providing education and support for responsible pet ownership; Fostering and adoption of at risk animals; and keeping animals with their families and out of shelters and rescues. Their goal is to fill the gap created from the financial and personnel constraints of local governments resources.

To help make your donation most effective, please keep these things in mind:

• Gift cards are the most needed and most appreciated.
• They accept donations of all brands of dog food, cat food, and cat litter. Please know that some donations may be used for WAAL fosters and some may be utilized for our Community Pet Food Banks.
• They will accept donations of open bags of pet food for our community pet food banks, however, the food must be in its original packaging, be completely dry and parasite free, and not be expired.
• They accept new leashes, collars, pet beds, etc.
• They cannot accept towels, comforters, blankets, etc. due to storage constraints
• Wire kennels of all sizes and in good condition are always appreciated
• Due to storage constraints, they cannot accept plastic travel dog carriers
• Cat carriers in good condition are always appreciated
• They always need clumping and non-clumping litter of any brand
• For safety reasons, they cannot accept rawhides similar type chews. Kongs or antlers are great and safe alternatives!
